Advantages of a Hardwood Cutting Board
-
Beauty
Each board is made with dense hardwoods, ideal for cutting boards. Purple Heart, Maple, Walnut, Padauk, Wenge and Zebrawood can be found in our beautiful boards.
-
Safety
Dense hardwoods naturally repel bacteria. Plastic cutting boards attract them. Don't buy a cheap board that is dirty and loud. Keep your family healthy with a hardwood cutting board. Mild soap and water is all you need to clean it.
-
Healthy Eating
We've been told to eat food as close as possible to its original, natural state. Food prepared on a cutting board almost always adheres to this advice. A cutting board will encourage a wide variety of healthy vegetables and lean meats.
Our Hero: Chris
This handsome fellow is my very first woodworking customer! Chris is an old friend and a terrific guy. His grandfather was a woodworker and he has a special place in his heart for purple heart wood.
Our Hero: Tanya
Tanya writes, "I just received this gorgeous cutting board custom-made by John McCracken of McKinney! This is true custom woodworking: no stains or dyes - just beautiful individual inlaid woods. I highly recommend John if you’re thinking of getting a cutting board, charcuterie board, Lazy Susan, etc.. Don’t buy one at your local big box store. Have John custom make one for you! It will be unique and last a lifetime! "
Our Hero: Ruby
Ruby fell in love with the maple and walnut lines of this board. She is looking forward to making many healthy meals for her daughter in the years ahead.
Our Hero: Martha
Martha, a.k.a. Mom, thinks I'm the best woodworker that has ever lived. Thanks Mom!
